planning to travel to japan, the logistics...

so i'm planning to travel to japan somewhere in end-april to mid-may 2007.... my friend is there as part of his company's work... so with accommodation kinda taken care of and my ability to get a cheap ticket there, i am in the process of getting to go there...

querry 1 : going on the 28th apr or 30th apr

i have fixed two dates to go... and should return on the 13th of may... the 28th is a saturday and there is flight departing from kl to osaka on that day... but the problem is my cousin is getting married on that day too... and he is going to hold his wedding banquet that evening... i would miss it... if i decided to go on that date...

the 30th is a monday and i should reach osaka on the 1st may... which is a holiday here but not one there... if i go on this date the only good thing is that i can return back to my hometown without having to transit too much places... but i would have less days in japan... which is a downside...

i think i'm going to go on the 28th... just give a big angpow to him... ahhaha

3g phone...

my friend informed me that u need a 3g handset to be able to make calls in japan... so i need to pump in money to get a 3g handset... so far i have gotten a deal to get a very cheap 3g handset... due to some auction of police raided goods... ahhaha... so i hope that becomes available... i should know somehwere in beginning-april to know if i have gotten it...

the auction phones have caused a great deal of demand... i informed my relatives and they in turn informed their colleagues... which at the end the dealer had to close shop due to over-demand... hahaha... so pity those who he did not want to take order

brushing up my japanese...

to get there i had to brush up my japanese... i took one year of introductory japanese in university and have always kept to maintain my knowledge of japanese... i continue to watch japanese programs in their original language with the aid of sub-titles... so far i think i am able to speak simple japanese... at the very least i don't think i would go hungry there.. hahaha...
