this is the fourth day of my tour of japan... so far today was a bit more relaxed but still, a lot of walking... primarily, we were around the shinjuku and shibuya area...
the first stop of the day was to the tokyo metropolitan government building in shinjuku... i don't know how tall it was, but all i can say is we were at the 45th floor, which was its viewing deck... my friend was having a rough count of 4 meters per floor, so meaning we were at 180 meters to view tokyo...
the view was not great due to today's early morning fog...
in essence, you should be able to see mount fuji but you can't today...
anyway, we enjoyed the view because it was free... there were lots of china and taiwan tourist there... so i gather this was included in their tour... this is free so the tour agent saves...
the second stop of this morning was at the TAKASHIMAYA TIME SQUARE... a bit disappointment... no place of congregation... only a place for smokers...
so we decided to walk to the shinjuku gyoen national garden... on the way there, we saw this stand selling bento at 500 yen... so we bought that and went to the park to have our lunch...
the food was lots... especially the rice... didn't manage to finish the rice... but view of the park was nice...
i know, this picture is a bit funny... dunno what i was looking at... and i need to go on diet... the food here is killing me... ahhaha
after the park, we went to takeshita dori... a street where you can wash your eyes.. there are candies for everyone... ahhaha
our next stop is the the meiji jingu shrine...
another free admission site... quite nice... we walked around a few hours here... tired out... legs have been quite sore...
finally, we hit shibuya... the capital of what's trendy in tokyo...
if you're going to shibuya... u need to take the photo of this dog... i'll update u with its name... it suddenly escaped my mind...
anyway... shibuya is lined with many fashion shops/houses... you'll need a lot of time to shift through it...
our time there was short... i'll go back another day...
till then... see you in the next post... i'm tired out...
